This animation was created for the major project in my final year at university with a team of 6 other guys. It took about 8 months from inception to finish, with many other projects on the go at the same time.
My role was primarily as director, which involved creating the storyboards & animatics, developing the characters and choreographing the action sequences. During production I also supervised the two animators and provided feedback to the artistic disciplines such as set dressing, camera layout, modelling and texturing.
From a more technical point of view, I spent a large major of my time creating procedural assets in Houdini, e.g. scattered rocks and wooden crates. I also developed much of the rending workflow for this project.
